Across enterprises, the use of AI is exploding. Sanctioned autonomous agents access applications and interact with sensitive data at machine speed. At the same time, employees are independently adopting public AI tools to accelerate their work, creating a growing “Shadow AI” footprint that operates outside of IT’s view.
Behind every agent and AI tool sits a web of service accounts, tokens, APIs, and inherited permissions—many of which lack clear ownership. An AI agent’s success is defined by its access, but the broader that access becomes, the more risk you introduce.
SailPoint Field CTO Matt Fangman will outline a holistic strategy to govern this new reality. He will detail how sanctioned AI agents are introduced, how to bring shadow AI usage out of the dark, and where security breakdowns most often occur. Attendees will leave with a practical operating model to govern all forms of AI at scale, reducing risk and strengthening audit readiness while enabling responsible AI adoption.
